Across various places, such as hospitals, GPs, labs, or pharmacies, data about our health is stored. These sensitive data are regularly exchanged between healthcare providers. The\u00a0NEN 7510:2017<\/a>\u00a0certification demonstrates that we handle privacy-sensitive data responsibly and carefully. It shows our users and other stakeholders that we have taken the right measures.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The goal of information security in healthcare is to maintain the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information. The Dutch Standard (NEN) 7510 was specifically designed for the healthcare and welfare sectors and \u2018speaks\u2019 the language of Dutch healthcare. The basis of NEN 7510 is the implementation of a management system in which control and safeguarding measures are documented. Not just the technology, but people play a central role in this. Therefore, all Selfcare employees underwent intensive training on safe data processing.\u00a0NE<\/strong>derlandse\u00a0N<\/strong>orm (NEN) 7510 is speciaal opgesteld voor de zorg- en welzijnssector en \u2018spreekt\u2019 de Nederlandse zorgtaal. De\u00a0basis van NEN 7510<\/a>\u00a0is de implementatie van een managementsysteem waarin de beheers- en borgingsmaatregelen zijn vastgelegd. Niet alleen de techniek, maar vooral de mens staat hierin centraal. Selfcare follows the\u00a0MedMij Framework<\/a>MedMij ensures that anyone who wants to can access their health data in a self-chosen personal health environment. Selfcare is one such personal health environment, also known as a PHE. Highly sensitive information is processed within the PHE, so it is crucial to ensure this information is properly secured.<\/p>

For this reason, the MedMij Framework was developed. This framework contributes to the safe and user-friendly exchange of personal, sensitive, and confidential health data. A requirement for complying with the MedMij framework is a valid NEN 7510 certificate.\u00a0MedMij<\/a>\u00a0te voldoen, is een geldig NEN 7510 certificaat.<\/p>

Now that our information security is at the required level, after completing the NEN 7510 process, we are taking a big step toward meeting the MedMij standard.
